An extensive show review will be posted shortly that'll include the full setlist, further photos and more.
UPDATE - The Bendigo Road Report is in including bonus photos.
So, it's been a little while between drinks huh? Hope you’re all doing well.
It’s been all systems go in the Silverchair camp over the last little while. Since Dan returned home from New York (where he spent time writing last year) we've all been in lock down rehearsing and doing demos for the new album.
This will be our sixth studio album and we like to refer to it as just that, "Album #6", thankfully that’s very much just a working title!
While our album is still in it’s early stages, the demos are coming together well. We are really excited with the sounds emerging from the studio and everyday is a new surprise.
As you may have come to expect from us – the album is moving in a very different direction from anything we’ve recorded previously. The three of us are all really pumped to be back in the studio again making new music together.
In between recording demos we've been rehearsing for our upcoming headlining posse’ on the 'Groovin the Moo' festival.
We would like to confirm here and now will be unveiling two new songs as part of our set. The new songs are called ‘16’ and ‘Machina Collecta’.
Lastly but certainly not least, we popped into Triple J last week to record a special version of The Beatles classic ‘Yellow Submarine’ for the 'Like A Version' segment plus an unplugged recording of ‘If You Keep Losing Sleep’.
To download the songs, interview and to view the photo gallery head to www.triplej.net.au
That’s it for now, until next time - take it easy!
Make sure you tune into Triple J brekkie with Tom & Alex this Friday April 23 from 6.00am (AEST).
Silverchair are popping in to chat about their preparations for Groovin the Moo and to record a cover song for the special 'LIKE A VERSION' segment.
What song do you think they will cover?!! Your guess is as good as ours! However, what we do know is there are a lot of great surprises in store for this special recording.
Turn up your radio!
UPDATE - in case you missed this Triple J have photos and audio of the interview and performance available online now. What songs? Check it out now to see what you missed.
